Living After Suicide

Welcome ~ to the club no one should be a part of...

If you have lost someone to suicide, the first thing you should know is that you are not alone.

Each year over 36,000 people in the United States die by suicide -- the devastated family and friends they leave behind are known as "survivors." There are millions of survivors who, like you, are trying to cope with this heartbreaking loss.

If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide, please read and share this letter from Mary Deem, as posted in the Lake Norman Citizen, and get help right away.  Thank you, Mary, for your heartfelt words and honestly.  We are so glad that you're here.

"I would like to welcome all suicide survivors, no matter how much time has passed, to be a part of this group.  I believe that each of us can play an essential part in one another's healing process.

While we're sad there's another one of us out there to join this club, I'm glad you found us."

~Karen
